Bob is a teacher, coach, mentor, and pastoral counselor. Bob is an ordained, non-denominational pastor who has served in pastoral ministry for over 35 years. Through this experience, he has gained a wide range of pastoral counseling experiences. His expertise is in trauma and grief counseling.
Additionally, he served as a chaplain for the paramedics at Sussex County Emergency Medical Services, Sussex County, Delaware, and the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Department. As a chaplain, he was a Critical Incident Management Team member and worked with those who experienced traumatic incidents. He is trained in personal and group critical incident management. His doctoral work focused on PTSD and Vicarious Trauma and how to mitigate and reduce the effects of traumatic events.
As a pastoral counselor, he has witnessed spiritual abuse and wants to help those negatively impacted by religious organizations find peace and healing. Having experienced this abuse, he understands the baggage that comes from this experience. Additionally, he has extensive experience in mentoring relationships.
Bob is the Pastoral Care Director at Our Lady of Hope Health Center (https://www.ourladyofhope.com/) and a pastoral counselor with his local church, Hill City RVA https://www.hillcityrva.com/counseling). He also serves as a corporate chaplain for companies around the Richmond area.
